Children’s Formation

Nursery (currently unstaffed)

In support of families attending worship, our nursery is a safe nurturing environment where our youngest children can play and learn.  While all children, even the youngest, are welcome to attend our services, the nursery is available for parents to accompany their children in this space. Changing table & rocking chair available for supervised use.

Children's Formation (4yrs to 10 years of age)

We begin this year, at the Beginning.  As we listen to stories in the bible, we walk through the Old Testament and New Testament and learn about God’s gift of light, throughout time and lived by His son,  Jesus Christ.  Singing, on-theme activities, crafts and more.

Safe Church Training (previously Safeguarding God’s Children)

Keeping our children safe is of the utmost importance to St. Matthias and the Episcopal Church. Anyone involved in ministry with children or youth, as well as all clergy and wardens, is required to go through the Episcopal Church’s “Safe Church” training course. This must be renewed every three years. (If you’d like to learn more about this, please contact Rev. Laura.)
