Chalice Bearers (aka Altar Lay Eucharistic Ministers)

The ministry of Chalice Bearing is that of helping distribute Holy Communion. Ministers serve sacramental wine or bread, assisting the Celebrant. It is an important and vital lay ministry.

Home Lay Eucharistic Ministers

A subset of Chalice Ministry is Home Lay Eucharistic Ministers, who take Holy Communion to those who are ill or shut in, on occasion along with a priest. This also is a vital ministry and very comforting to those who cannot make regular Sunday or Holy Day Communion worship.
