ArkALMIGHTY is a good deeds initiative
inspired by Pastor Steve Sjogren’s book Conspiracy of Kindness. At St. Matthias, we have responded in three
fantastic ways:
- By matching up needs of our congregation members with
the skills of our congregation members, that we might “love one another”
as Jesus commands us. We’ll keep this ministry active through July 2008.
See notes below on how to register your gifts and needs. We have made many
connections and hope to make more!
- The second part is to use the combined gifts of the
congregation in outreach to our community. We helped move Tri-Lakes Cares,
the local social service provider, into their new building.
- The Third part is by sponsoring an “Evan Free Day” in
our community, just doing something for someone because we can. For this,
we handed out $1000 worth of gas cards to Saturday morning customers at
Conoco. It was a great way to show the community that God and His Church cares.
