It is the vision of St. Matthias to create and nurture Christian
Communities that reach out in love and draw others into the family of Christ.
It is now time to transition from 40 Days of Community to ongoing,
purposeful Christian community through small groups. The document below
is our guiding resource.
As part of the 2011 40 Days of Community Ministry Fair
the Sharing the Joy SI Group asked each participant and member of St.
Matthias to complete a Spiritual Gifts Inventory prior to coming on
February 13th. Maybe you didn't have a chance, but still take it for your
own discovery!
To complete the Inventory, click here and follow
the
instructions.
God has given us each a mind to think with, a will to decide with, and emotions to feel with. Christians are to use all to engage in a relationship with God in Jesus Christ; we are thus each called to find specific ways to nurture and grow in Christian faith.
Please follow the links at the left to areas of interest or participation for your Christian growth. Contact information is on each page, or contact Father Scott at padrescott@gmail.com.
Jesus said, "If any would come after me, they must deny themselves and take up his cross
daily and follow me" (Luke 9.23). All Christians are called to - instructed to by Jesus - do all of this. Yet
sometimes we don't quite know how to deny ourselves, identify our cross, and know where Jesus is
walking. The Discovering the Christian Life: Discipleship course is designed to meet just this need. It is for
those in the pew, long-time believers, and newer Christians who have completed our Discovering
Chrisitan Faith course..
